Although Corey C. McNabb is a native of Western North Carolina, his travels continue to inspire him and his palette-knife paintings. McNabb will be offering several brand new oil paintings and acrylics at the next Weaverville Art Safari, including this one entitled Beached Fishing Boat. This boat is near San Francisco, and was recently burned down by an irresponsible photographer lighting fireworks from her. The lack of consideration for others has left this icon in ruins (even more so than it’s previous dilapidated state), but it will live on in McNabb’s memory … and now in this painting. Beached Fishing Boat is a 40″x30″ palette knife acrylic on canvas. If you’re unable to attend this Art Safari, you may view McNabb’s works at his River Arts District gallery and studio in Asheville (1 Roberts Street, Asheville, NC 28801) or online at www.mcnabbfineart.com.
