Ceramics and Pottery

I work with clay in several ways--at the wheel, working on hand built pieces and often combining the two. My work is usually functional, and sometimes simply decorative. I use two firing techniques: electric fired oxidation and gas fired raku. All electric fired pieces are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and food safe. Raku pieces are decorative, low fired, and are neither food safe nor dishwasher safe. I work in a beautiful studio at my home where I am influenced by nature's beauty. My work can also be seen at Artisans on Main in Weaverville and Odyssey Co-op Gallery on Clingman Avenue in the River Arts District in Asheville.
