Fine Art
Gretchen Chadwick has been painting for 40 years. Prior to Tropical Storm Helene, she had a studio in Riverview Station for nearly a decade. She moved to Western North Carolina from the Philadelphia area, where she raised her family and studied painting at the Brandywine Atelier. Gretchen’s work is eclectic, ranging from classical realism to abstraction, but she most enjoys finding a balance between the two. She primarily works in oils and mixed media. Her recent subject matter includes moody landscapes, semi-abstracted grasses and trees. Gretchen holds a Master’s degree in transpersonal psychology, with a specialization in creativity.
