Sales Tax Reminder for Artists
North Carolina requires artists who make taxable retail sales to register for a Sales and Use Tax account, collect the appropriate sales tax from customers, and file and remit the tax to the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Artists are responsible for understanding and meeting their own sales tax obligations.

Member Artists

MEMBER ARTISTS have completed the jury process and are Art Safari members. They are not required to participate in every Safari, but they must register for each Safari in which they do choose to participate. Every artist must sign up to participate on a working committee before registering.

If you are a Weaverville area resident artist and would like to become a member of the Weaverville Art Safari, you must apply to have your artwork juried into the organization.

Non-Member/Visiting Artists

If you wish to be a Non-Member/Visiting Artist and have been invited to show at a Member Artist location, please follow these steps:

1,  Contact a registered artist to request exhibit privileges at their location before  ARTISTS’ OPEN REGISTRATION (see section above).
2.  When your host artist registers, they will list you as a non-member guest artist at your location.
*3. If you have participated in the Safari before and have an existing account, you will need to Log In (see main menu bar) BEFORE the registration program will allow you to register.
4.  If this is your first time to participate in the Art Safari as a non-member, you will need to contact the webmaster by clicking on the button entitled “Website Help” at the bottom of this page to attain a username and password so that you can access the registration page.  
5.  When Open Registration starts, you will be able to complete the form to provide information for your Art Safari website artist page. This will be visible only for the current Art Safari.
