I’ve always been drawn to the act of making - working with my hands, creating and leaving a mark. In recent years, that impulse has been focused on encaustic and oil painting. I love exploring the richness of color and the shifting qualities of light. My work is primarily rooted in the landscapes of Western North Carolina, with forays into painting flowers, still life, abstracts and whatever challenges me at the moment.

Corita Kent famously said, …“doing and making are acts of hope”… I agree.
