Ray R. Porter, Handcrafted Pottery – map #14

Ceramics and Pottery

Ray was introduced to pottery during college in the 70’ spending all free time in the ceramics studio. After graduation he worked for a few years with a studio potter but was sidetracked with a part time job as a caterer. This diversion became a career in the food service industry lasting nearly 40 years. Now, after a long hiatus he has returned to his original passion with clay. Though primarily focused on throwing functional wares at the moment, hand-building is a keen interest also. Current work is single-fired at mid-range temperatures in an electric kiln.
