in 1990 Susie Wallace fell in love with the way transparent watercolors let the glow of the white paper shine through. She has an MS degree in biology and was an Alabama Master Gardener so it's no surprise that her art reflects her love of gardening, flowers and nature. She is drawn to the play of light across her subjects. Susie also enjoys painting in oils and pastels. She moved to Barnardsville last spring after over 40 years on the Alabama Gulf Coast and is enjoying all the new scenery she can paint.
