I live in an old farmhouse and spend part of every day tending chickens and our herd of Angora goats. Farm life is an influence in most of my pieces. I usually dress them very simply, although occasionally I dress them ready for church. Most of the clothing is crafted from hand-dyed raw silk. Vintage lace and linens, used for trims and accessories, add a sense of history. The hair is made of mohair locks from my goats. My goal is to capture emotion in cloth. Seeing a little spirit emerge from a pile of raw materials always feels magical to me.
